Baking Cookies!!!

Today we had planned on going swimming, but it was overcast and cool until about 2, which just happens to be nap time around here. So, what's a mom to do with a disappointed 3 year old little girlie? Yep, bake chocolate chip cookies with her! Braden helped out by sitting on the counter reaching with his "go, go gadget arms" for all of the cookie ingredients.

Opening the butter.

So focused!

That's gotta be the biggest bag of chocolate chips I've ever seen! When we had Mersadie's birthday party and made the apples, my mom and I thought we needed 2 of those bags from Costco. This is the end of the first bag, so I have one more 72 ounce bag of chocolate chips!!

Adding the best part.

Ready to be chilled before baking.

Randomly Sadie just started kissing the bowl saying, "I love chocolate chip cookies". Man, this is MY child!

All through this whole process Sadie kept saying, "can I taste it yet, can I taste it yet?" So, going against what I know is right considering the eggs in the mix, I let her lick the spatula! Who can resist some good 'ol chocolate chip cookie dough?

I think the swimming was successfully forgotten about!
